If you lock The lift handle, The tiller will lift the tractor wheels off the Ground and propell the tractor. I placed a bolt in the plate so the lift handle can"t lock in the lowered position. It makes it easier to lift the tiller at the end of each pass. If you have power lift, leave the lift lever in the float position. I read this in an old AC Manual, after my 2012 with rear tiller bulldozed my lawn shed with me on it. Hope this helps and saves you some aggrivation and damage ,and keeps you safe. It did show me that this is one tough tractor, All that was hurt was my pride and paint job.

Good tip, it is amazing how much a tiller can push a garden tractor around, especially when they are tilling pretty deep.
