Thank you, Brian. I have a few more things to do, wheels, seat, small stuff. I know it is not the best way to paint one, but I have stopped the rust for now and it does look a LOT better. I'll keep after it little by little. My worst problem is I don't have somewhere inside to do things, like a garage. Just a small shack out back for my tools, the lean-to I added and soon I will put up the 10'X10' canopy for a bit more shade. Of course, I was going for the WOW effect.

Looks really good Kenny, I guess that means I have the ugliest LGT 165 on GT Talk now.

Chuck, I don't think so. I like the looks of yours. And this one was real nasty looking when I got it. Look at my avatar.

the one in my avatar is my 145, the 165 is rougher than the 145.

There are some pics I posted of this tractor show what a rust bucket it was in one of my threads. I need to get a gallery going. I didn't try for a restore, only refresh the paint and slow/stop the rust. Close ups will show imperfections in the paint, but I'm happy with it. Is your 165 the one you posted with the 26X12's on it? That one didn't look to bad to me.
P.S. Looked again at that pic. Yeah, the fender pan could use a little help. Maybe you could sell the pan to Daniel. It would go with his cows.:bigrofl::bigrofl:
Seriously, the front sheet metal paint isn't too bad. Maybe you could name it Spot.

:bump:
Bought the paint for the wheels yesterday. Going white, afraid the charcoal would be too dark with the tires. Now, if I quit bending things, I'll have time to do them. Would like to have it completed before the heat of summer gets here.

Ain't supposed to be this hot yet. All I need to do is paint the wheels and do something with the seat. Work got in the way of geting anything done. Got another week before I get a rest while insulation and sheet rock goes in. and there are things that need fixed around the house. If I had the wheels finished, I might have entered it in this month's featured tractor. It is red, white, and blue. LOL

Pulled the tires off and painted the wheels yesterday. Plan to have them back together today. It was plenty warm to get them dry. May go look at seats today, also.

Getting closer to being finished. Got to find a seat/seat cover for it. The painted wheels make a difference. I'm glad I went with the white on them.

Hope you like the impromptu seat cover. Straight out of the drawer.

George has some that may work. I'm thinking about the grey instead of the blue I have now. LOL
