Read a short weather prediction this morning .  "Experts"  sea that due to the recent heavy snow, 16" over night in Siberia that the North Eastern US will have a colder and more snow than normal this winter.   Midwest is to be a normal winter.  They did not define the term "normal" though.  All depends on how you look at it. :wallbanging:    :(

Would not hurt my feelings if winter was canceled forever. I hate cold weather and everything that goes with it.

I hear you guys on cold weather.  I used to not mind it but the last few years it has been getting harder every year to get accustomed to it.  When I get enough on to keep warm I can't walk.  Pick my time to do things outside real carefully. lie restock the firewood, etc.  Rest of the time I stay in the basement where I have my own TV, little shop and a warm stove.  Going after a ton of pallets tomorrow.  58° here now and same for tomorrow but then the rain moves in and a cold front behind it.

The only profession were you can make guesses and be wrong more than right and still make a good salary. Mother nature does what she wants. hopefully she wants to be nice and mild. :smilewink:

I have heard the same. There was heavy frost here this morning and ice on my pigs water trough, but I was working outside and down to a t-shirt by 10:00.

I am pretty sure it will be cold for 6 months and then it will warm up! Been doing that all my life, see No reason it would change.

Last year was nasty around here, any way, Or is it really because I'm getting older and can't seem to deal with the cold and snow as easily as I use to. Going to raise furnace vent this year. It's side wall vent. Last year was very bad for it to plug up. I had some very bad times out in the storms trying to clear it. So I am going to raise it up about 6'. Hopefully I won't have to go out to clear it. I have lived in this house for 23 years. In the first 21 years I only cleaned the snow away from the exhaust pipe 3 times. In the last two years, it was 6 times last year and 3 the year before. Some thing is changing. Noel.
