There are some threads here on them if you're able to search them out. Not a lot of info to give...they are the smaller kin to Allis' other L&GT's of the late 60s, early 70s.

There is an early 6hp yellow type, which seems to be the rarest. Followed by an orange and cream 6hp version, and then another orange 7hp Homesteader (which also has Homelite RM-5E and RM-7E twins).

I searched 2 years for one, then within a year or so located 1 of each color (yellow orange & blue). Since bringing home a yellow one last month, Ive seen no less than 4 for sale (1 yellow, 3 orange), so they seem to have come out of the woodwork.

Sweet thanks guys, yeah my Allis chalmers forum said theyre a very uncommon model, itll be a great addition to my growing collection. I have two tractors and a 611 hydro working on getting a b1 leap frogged up here from Georgia and got a line on an 808gt so hopefully i can amass a few more Orange mowers.

If the body is that good, I would leave it original. They only come that way once, and repaints are becoming less and less desirable and valuable.

I used to have a Homesteader 6. It was a 1971...I'll see if I can find a pic of mine

Well Ill be...its not a B206 at all...its a Homesteader 6! Definitely a scarce machine. I had forgotten about that one. I have only seen 1, and only 2 Homesteader 7's.

Very cool!
