Good afternoon, replacing old rusted out tunnel cover on economy 1614 dual transmissions. Looking for the measurements to drill holes for the shifters .thanks. patrick

Have you thought of making the top come off for trans repairs w/out total tear-down?  I see lots of them at shows with the part over the front trans just wacked or torched out and looks bad. BUT, have seen one where fella made the top metal come down over both sides and used latches, think tool box kind to pull it down tight. Still had all top surface closed and clean, just the addition of those four side latches to really notice.  These things wear and lock up when older and would also be nicer for filling or changing the lube. Just thought I"ld ask or mention that idea.
