I'm a little nervous about taking about this too much before I actually have it at home, but I bought it from a guy that had it on eBay and Craigslist. It's been barely a month since I got my D4-10 home and now I have an HD-12. I have it set up to be transported by Fastenal again. It has worked out well for me twice and I am hopeful it goes well again with this one. I may have been a little conservative on the size and weight so I hope it doesn't become an issue. I am anxious to see how it sizes up against all my other garden tractors.

It has an older letter series rope start Wisconsin engine and it will surely have a starter/generator adapted eventually, if not repowered altogether. As expected, there are missing parts that will need to be fabricated or sourced but I am very excited to have something to work with. More pictures and info to follow!

Just got word it's strapped down and ready to go. Said he happened to have a pallet that was just the right size. It is supposed to be dropped off at Fastenal is sometime next Friday. I suspect it will be here in Minnesota before Thanksgiving.

Picked it up from Fastenal today. It was fun to put the D4-10 next to it and admire the scale difference of the two tractors. I only had time to air up the rear tires and straighten the right floorboard. There is some heavy steel in this tractor. It looks to be simply built and there is not much to it, but it still made my 1-ton pickup ride pretty smooth on the way home!

I'm not sure if getting one bought or putting it back together is the hard part but I am happy to have a nice pair of Hogs in my collection

Someone may want to resize the photos? Not sure how to take them smaller. Still learning my "smart" phone...

I made some hood trim yesterday. A guy at work does demolition derby and there was some parts laying around the shop. They are window sill moldings from a 1960s Chrysler Imperial. I cut them to length. The built-in retaining clips actually worked perfect for holding them on. Long way to go yet but one important step closer.

For a few of life's most common reasons, I have decided to let this one go. With daycare costs coming up soon among other bills, this tractor needs more attention than I will be able to give it for a while and sadly will be for sale along with a few other tractors I had planned to keep.

I did give it some minor TLC and it was neat to have it sitting next to the D4-10 for a little while. For now, I plan to keep the D4-10 since it won't take much to make it complete again. Hopefully I can get back what I have into the HD-12 after having it shipped to MN by Fastenal. Just figured I'd let the Bush Hog folks know before it gets seen elsewhere on the web. Going to try Craigslist to start.
