Does anyone know the different Alternators or charging circuits that are used in the Honda Clone 13hp engines?

I have one in a tractor that has a small trickle charger in it, I want to increase it's output so it can run the lights and charge the battery.

Anybody know how this is done, what parts are needed, where to get them?

I do not want to use a belt driven alternator?

Doug, I am not sure but I would search for info on the Honda GX 390, every part I have ordered for my 13hp clone  Carb, coil, engine gasket set starter ect...all are for a Honda GX 390.

the amount of amps from a charging stator depends on the size and number of magnets on the flywheel and also the windings of the stator. You may have a challenge getting the parts to fit your engine. Just my thoughts someone else may know more than I.

There are plenty of sites on the web selling Honda upgrade parts. You are looking for the gx390 clones. It will require pulling the flywheel, but the parts are available.
