I and all of my co-workers skipped out on work today and went to the parade.  Looks like many of Kansas City residents attended the parade.  Most of the area schools were called off to allow kids to go too.  Perfect day for it.  Took a few pics

Looks like KC's a Chevy town!

Even though they defeated my beloved Mets, my hat's off to a fine team on a well deserved championship. They play ball the old fashioned way. And that's refreshing, to say the least

I think its just a case of Chevy paid the Royals Corporation more money to use their trucks.  Kansas City [Claycomo, MO] has the largest capacity Ford plant in the world and employs more than 7000 people building the F150

Chevy sponsors the Royals radio network and is probably the "official truck of MLB and the Royals" whatever the hell that means.

I'm gonna have to find a different hobby for the next 157 days. There were only a hand full of games out of the 175 that they played this year that I didnt watch, or atleast sneak in a quick score check.

The Ford Claycomo plant builds the F-150 and the Transit van.  They were building the Escape but changed over to the Transit 2 years ago.  They've been making the F-150 for a long time, and now only Kansas City and Detroit build it.  There is also a Chevrolet car plant in Kansas City, Kansas  KC,K is just across the river from Kansas City, Missouri.
