Hello all I just was wondering if a k301a and a 301aqs use the same crank one has a big stater/gen and the the other just has the small starte. Thank you

Thank you yes one is 47138b and the other is 47622d

Great. Now we check the parts manual to see if they will interchange. According to that manual, they use the same crank. But on serials before 153010013, crankshaft 47 014 05# was used. After Serial 153010003, crankshaft 47 142 30* was used.

For the # & * notes we have this:

Then I went to the Kohler Crankshaft Reference PDF and found this:

I would say they will interchange from this info.
