I'm having trouble telling the difference between the 620/720 snowblower.

One picture i see calls it a 720 the next picture calls it a 620. Does any body have pics of both? Do they both have the big undercarriage? is it possible to mount a 620 on a MF8?

Measure the width, MF620s are 36" wide,
and MF720 are smaller, 30" I think.

Well, the 720 is the one for the MF 7/8 and the 620 is for the 10/12 with the 520 for the 14/16 (guessing at that last one, but they way the number, I am sure it is right.) Indeed, the blower is not as wide on the 720, but there are sure to be massive changes between them how they mount to two very different tractors.

I found the post on here that said which size goes for which machine. It seems to me there might be some revisions on either the 720 or the 620 if the pics I have seen are correct. DH1 said mine should measure 30" so I DID buy the correct one. I was hoping for pics to confirm my mounting carriage

I understand that. thats why i asked for pics. but thanks for the reply.

There are a bunch of pics especially of the 620 snowblowers in the Massey Forum, there are not quite as many of the 520's and I don't think there are as many pics of them on the site. There are also not too many people that would happen to have both and be able to take a side by side shot.

I can provide pics of my 620 and will attach them to this post. I really don't think you could mount the 620 on the MF8/MF7 without major modifications, there is a good sized sub frame that goes with the snow blower along with the frame of the snow blower.

On a side note, this is the second post where you have been a little arrogant in your wording. Guys are trying to help you out and give you information you could use, even if they can't provide pictures so you can make a better informed decision.

I have not seen many pics of the 720 they seem to be quite rare. I have both a 520 blower and a 620 blower and it is not hard to tell the difference between those two. The 520 is a much much bigger and heavier blower. I know the 620's can be a little confusing because there was "old style" and "new style". I will see if I have a pic of my 620 for you.

The 520's are heavy sob's. Takes 4 girls and a boy to move one of them. It is one of the reasons I haven't messed with mine yet to try and get it mounted. My 520 needs a little work though for the drive shaft flexible coupling, they must have hit something and it tore like it should so I will have to make something up to fix it.

I have the newer styled 720 blower and is very easy to drag around, but my 4220 blower for my 1650 ''i think is the same as the 520 blower except for some mounting differences'' is a beast like what NUTNDUN said. If you need some pics of my 720 blower i could get some maybe tomarow.

I admit in the other thread I was being a KNOB and I apologized to him for that. I'm not on here to cause trouble. The reply in this thread was not at all meant to be sarcastic, rude, or disrespectful. I was stating that I understood the models of snowblower that went with the tractors and thanked him for the reply(I edited the post). I understand it is hard to understand a persons tone through a post. I should have been more clear. I apologize for that. I have seen pictures that contradict each other and I was hoping I might get pics from a 720 owner and a 620 owner. The snowblower I have doesn't have the big undercarriage and measures 30" wide. I have seen Two similar to mine with slightly different mounts on the back. I'm sorry if I'm not clear enough with what I'm asking. As soon as I get mine home I'll post pics to clarify. Thanks Everyone

As far as I know the MF7,8 use the MF720 snow blowers, there are 2 different styles or types of MF720 blowers.
Early ones mounted to the front, no under carriage, and the drive belt came of the crank and went forward to the blower.
Later ones have the under carriage and the drive belt hooks one to where the mower deck does.

MF10,12 use the MF620 snow blower wider unit and again 2 different types early front mount, late under carriage mount.
It can be confusing, if you search the "AGCOPartsBooks" don't use "FireFox" it doesn't work. You will find all the different variations they did over the years. It's probably the best source to find out what you have, and if any parts are missing. At least that's what I found.

I have both an the old style 720 and 620. I also have the new style 720 which has the under tractor sled type mount. I took some pictures of the old style 720 as well as some of the mounting hardware, the drive pulley attachment, and the speed reduction pulley. If you want pictures of the larger 620 or the new style 720, let me know. I would probably be able to get them for you next week. 04212011 068.jpg

JACKPOT! Thanks for the amazing pics Everyone! That is exactly what I needed, all the little details, with measurements. Today I have the snowblower here and the camera is gone! darn it! The upper mount on the back of mine is slightly different, it doesn't mount to the shroud over the belt or the formed side on the left. It mounts directly to the tunnel, and on the intake side mine isn't flared out. Is it possible there's a third revision? (very minor)
