I picked this up from Des Moines CL this afternoon, about 70 miles from home:  Garden Tractors 2015 001 (4).JPG

I did some internet research & see they have some "issues", but nothing I can't handle!  This one is missing the hose, so that's on order, I'll use it mostly with the remote hose.

I'd wanted one for some time, just didn't feel like paying 12-13 hundred for a new one!

OMG! You bought something that isn't Green & Yellow? Are you okay, Lowell?

The heck with the leaf vac, what about that trailer? What is the low down on it? Good Luck, Rick

I actually have another Crapsman cart:  HPIM2794.JPG  Beefed up a bit though!

This one will probably stay original, only out of the shed when in use!   :D

It's a 1980 4 x 8 Snowco, I'd looked for one for two years & happened onto this one on an out of the area CL in 2009.  I emailed to the seller that I liked the cart & the price ($400), but it was too far away.  Promptly got an email back that they were going to be within a couple hours of me the next weekend & we met on the way.  1630.jpg

I dismantled it; 1631.jpg  Cleaned & repainted it:  1634.jpg  1635.jpg  The gray should be "Pearl Gray", I used "Smoke Gray" so I could more easily touch it up as needed.  The "Seafoam Green" fenders are correct.

The JD manual for my #49 snowblower shows this style trailer, goes perfect with my 1980-314:  HPIM1222.JPG

Got the NTM vac cleaned up & oil changed yesterday, painted the box floor with Rustoleum "Bed Liner" & replaced a missing wiring clamp this morning.  I found I have enough 6" hose to use it some, may try it out this afternoon, after the leaves dry out.

Turned out I had enough 6" hose on hand to hook up to the deck on the 314.  Spent the day today getting that done, the deck had been hanging in the back shed since I bought it in 2011.  Got it out this morning, had to weld a couple cracks at the discharge end.  Put it on the 314 this afternoon, repaired & re-cut the boot for the vacuum & attached it.  Works great!

The remote hose is due tomorrow!

I figured you would repaint it before your neighbors got to wondering about your state of mind!

Rebuilt, painted & bolted on the hitch stand this morning:  Garden Tractors 2015 001.JPG

Some of the reviews I read before buying the vac mentioned problems dumping, so I added a tube for a rake to help unload.  Garden Tractors 2015 002.JPG

Pulled more garden plants & hauled them to the bins with the 70 I & 10P cart.  Garden Tractors 2015 003.JPG

Shredded them with the 5 HP Merry Mac leaf shredder.  Garden Tractors 2015 004.JPG

More to do tomorrow, if the weather's fit!
