OK you guys I'm going to spill my guts here. That was actually not the first time I've been in that pit. And I have had the regular loader tractor in there also.  :(

 It is the first time going over the edge. Three sides are vertical and the side the photos were taken from is sloped. The other times I got stuck in there was when I was driving down the slope.  I would like to lengthen the slope but I'm getting close to the sewer line. And yes one time was when I was pushing limbs into a fire  but I was able to use the loader to get out.

You know, after the last confession, it might be a good idea to drill a couple or 3 large holes through a length of old telephone pole, place near edge, then drive a 3/4" steel rod through the holes to secure it as a safety stop.  Sometimes momentum can surprise you.
