This is so great!! I remember seeing your posts over the years looking for it. I'm so happy you finally did. :)

I have to ask, how did you know this particular one was yours? I assume there must be some specific identifiers on it that you were able make. Is it in completely different condition than how it was when it left your family originally?

Yes, the post you are thinking of wasn't mine, but that post also drove me to get this one back. Luckily I knew where my grandfather's ended up when my uncle let it go. It was a matter of finding the right people to help me get it back. Fortunately it all worked out.

I have another question. I have an opportunity to buy a Bush Hog front blade setup. Were they all the same? Or do I have to find one for this model?

There is a length difference between most all the tractor models, so I'd think all have their own version.  But mostly in length.  I know there are differences between the D series blade & the JB1 for sure.

I need to look but I think the last D series tractors used the same steering wheel. This grainy picture of a steering wheel is off a d4-12. I may have one if they are the same. Will look over the weekend and compare.

I think maybe GE used a similar steering wheel. ???

Here's some more pics that go along with my other BH thread. The ID tag is pretty beat up but if I wet it, you can still read most of it. The side box only has two slots on this one and the parking brake is under the seat.
