I just uploaded the 1964,65 & 66 M/W Farm Catalog files I have of the Lawn and Garden Tractors in the Misc. Manual section. If you look thru those, you will see the differences of each year on these GT's. I hope this helps.

If you scroll through the manual I linked to the 1200 series (page 65-67) it will walk you right through that transaxle.

Looked at that mine is different input shaft and shifter on other side.axle1.jpg axle2.jpg axle3.jpg

It is the same, the drawings in the manual are drawn backwards from reality.

It's a nice group you have there :thumbs:   It's a good reminder that at one time there were nice tractors/mowers ect sold through out the country in different department stores .

Mine looks exactly like your 64 squire ive been trying to find out more about it like who built the motor and what attachments are available for it mine came with a snow plough and no mower deck any help would be greatly appreciated
