Looks like an early MTD 990 me.
It's been re-powered.

What's the Question?
Thinking of buying?

Try this  as a starting point   http://gardentractor...guide-770-0851/   Since I can't see the front grill there are a bunch of possibilities. Most are basically the same. The engine manual is in our Manuals Section. Good Luck, Rick

Seeing that it has a winch lift in front for the plow blade. The front wheel spindles are replaced with trailer hubs. Looks like the 3 point arms are used only for towing the mower but no lift. The PTO would no longer function. Designed for plowing and mowing a large area only. Nice conversion for an old workhorse.

Welcome to the forum Carl. So you already own it and want to modify it already? I hope it is not contagious! :D

The mid PTO is used mostly for the mower deck or tiller so maybe a powered tiller is in the future.

I would like to see how the new engine is mounted. More pictures all the way around if you don't mind.

Can a hydraulic pump mount to the front of the engine?

Can you tell what you gave for your MTD 990 package?
