The local Kubota dealer and I are having a disagreement on the location of the engine serial number, not the chassis serial number. It is supposed to be stamped just below the mounting of the injection pump. I have 2 of these engines that I have scraped and wire brushed to clean shiny metal and there is no indication of a serial number stamp. That leaves 2 choices, either he is wrong or I am losing my mind. LOL Has anyone ever found the serial number on a D600 engine. Kubota has seen fit to leave any description of this engine out of their online literature. Thanks for any info on this or perhaps I need to get a bigger magnifying glass.

Disregard this post. The dealer was wrong. The serial number is on the lower portion of the block on the flywheel end. HOORAY, I am not going crazy.

Take a photo and after you show it to him say that " it's no disgrace to learn something new".
