Got the new limiting post in the mail today. A bit more rugged than I expected, its made from 3/16" thick stock. A piece of thick 1-1/4" angle would do the trick if u want to make one. I know its tough to get accurate dimensions from a picture so let me know if u need something more than these pics.

Wowsers thanks for all the great info! No reason for me to not fab one up now.
See any reason for the large hole in the center? I'm assuming these bolt underneath the rock shaft bearing block and don't see what that accommodates.

it does bolt to the bottom of the rock shaft pillow block. I assumed the large hole was clearance for a grease fitting or something but i havent had a chance to look under my tractor and confirm that. ill check it out this afternoon.

Are you sure? Maybe it was removed or broke off. You might want to take a closer look.

The large hole IS to allow access to a grease fitting. I would take a closer look, Artbuc may be correct that it has been removed or broke off.

I will get some pics up of the spring assist as soon as I get the snow blower mounted up to the machine, hopefully that will help with the rest of your setup. Just an FYI you will most definitely need some weight ballast on the rear of you machine to compensate for the 300LB snow blower hanging way off the front. I may have gone overboard but I have my rear tires liquid filled (77lbs of liquid each) and 50LB per side wheel weights plus a custom rear weight bracket with 350LBS of 2"x4"x18" (10 pcs)

solid steel bar stock stacked in there (pics of that setup to come soon on a new post)

Got around to making the Arm and Strap (your print was spot on). No access to a welder so I just used a 1/2" SHCS, jam nut and drilled a hole for the kwik-pin. Drilled all thru holes in the center of the stock for the arm. No binding to be seen. Anyone else who feels like fabbing these up watch your bolt hole location to mount the arm beneath the bearing block as it may interfere with a welded stop on the rock shaft if they are to far to one side.
