if you have to drill them out ( you really shouldnt need to ) use a lefthand drill bit . they work really well and have saved my bacon many times . they come with most extractor sets .

Couple of tips are to use a top quality bit, this is no place for HF or chinese stuff and make sure the end is square and not rounded off. After soaking with whatever you decide to use take a pick or awl and clean out the recess in the set screw and give it a blast of brake or carb cleaner. You want the bit to seat full depth into the recess and no lubricant in there.

Also you guys living beyond the rust belt have an unfair advantage where things come apart easier in general......
