For fun maybe, that sure looks like a complicated deck drive, alot like the Speedex ones. I don't know the brand, but looks like ones I have seen at show similar, seems right to me???  Seems simple, yet heavy parts, so should clean up and be workable would think. Value??? maybe not, FUN???? think it would be.

Its a Dura made Montgomery Wards somewhere around 1960-1962 with the correct grille.

I would have more in fuel than the mower would cost or I would have it. 10 hours and 17 minutes and 701 miles divide by 20 mpg = 35.05 gallons of fuel  X $2.10 per gallon = $73.60 X 2 = $147.21 to get it and back home.

I thought mine was a Porter Cable too when I got it.   Thanks to GTT we can all learn together.  :thumbs:
