Had a couple hours to spare yesterday so I made a hitch for my 3012 .  Not the prettiest but it will out last me.  The tongue is the same height as the original and the ball is 17 1/2 inches to the top.  Worked out good because the neighbor had a van that was going to the scrap yard with a hitch and the receiver was stuck in it.  I sawzalled off what was sticking out and put it in my homemade hitch.  Now my son wants one for his 222.  He's gonna have to wait because hunting season starts in 3 days.

Looks stout!
With it being higher and further back, any lightness on the front end?
