Why wouldn't he? Tractor is worth a grand, deck $500 and that loader is worth a good 3k if not more.

Around here that tractor and deck would bring $1500 to $2,000 easily without the loader.  That's a fairly new loader too.

Problems are getting parts for that machine

 

Used parts are abundant...they built a billion of these things.

I live in Maryland and compared to John Deere , cub cadet or like wheel horse I never see stuff for simplicity or much else

Simplicity parts are still available for my neighbor's '39 'C' so it shouldn't be any trouble getting parts at all as Taint said..
