I found this 1974 Montgomery Wards 16 hp GIL-33155B sitting in a shed and asked the owner if he was interesting in selling it.  He said he was looking for someone to haul it away for him.  He was happy that someone was going to fix it up instead of scrapping it out.  I got a front blade, rear grader blade, roto tiller, cultivator, hitch adapter kit, 2 disc harrows, a 10" moldboard polw and a hydraulic sickle bar mower attachments with it.  Looks like all the brackets, pins etc are with it.  Included was the manuals for the accessories (except the front plow blade) and the basic "owners manual" is missing.  Although the exterior was rusty and dirty, the gas tank was empty and clean inside.  The motor oil was clean and at the "full" mark.  I stuck in a older tractor battery, and the engine returned to life with minimal help.  WOO-WEE!  The transmission works too.  Now to learn where and how all these attachments work!mw-1.JPG mw-3.JPG mw-5.JPG P1060068.JPG

Welcome to GTT. Congratulations on a great score. There are some manuals for other GILSON/MW models in our Manuals Section. I would suggest that you do something about that raincatcher exhaust before it causes trouble. We have an excellant article on the easy way to remove stuck inner pipes. Good Luck, Rick

What a haul and it runs to boot!
:welcometogttalk: I would say you hit the jackpot. BTW, you left OEM Wheel Weights out of your list.

I saw your year post that your tractor is a '78. You may want to post a picture of the rear of your tractor, as this Brinly hitch may not fit. Gilson was building several different types and qualities of garden tractors for MW by '78. The tractor in this post is a rebadged Gilson S16. By '78, Gilson had revamped the line to make them heavier duty, which included changes to the rear that may change the hitch. I can tell by the color of yours that it is gear drive, I have only seen the rear of a Hydrostatic in the later models, and they are quite different, don't know about gear drives.
