I hope you reported this to the police, or sheriff, if they do that where you are. Forgery is a Felony in NY. I imagine it's serious there too. Let them investigate and press charges.

Good luck.

Heading to County Attorney's office now. They will work with police as to charging the guy. I'll report later what they tell me.

Sorry to here about your troubles.

They (crooks) can be pretty good actors, so that info from the bank about him not
having all the fries. I would discard that, and hang him out to dry.

I have never been able to even attempt stealing from a person before, even if I hated them and this guy doesn't even know you. The worst part is, even if he gets prosecuted it will be unlikely to change the end result. He will most likely continue to waste his life and probably try to steal/hurt/harm others.

No word today, just got forms filled out. The lady that handles these type things was out of the office.

I'm not sure how I missed this thread yesterday. I'm very sorry to hear about the troubles Dan. I hope that the criminal is brought to justice! :mad2::shoot2::shoot3: Sounds like you got it nipped in the bud so that you won't lose the money, but justice is sometimes harder to achieve. Best of luck and keep us posted.

This is exactly the reason I prefer a SMALL TOWN BANK, They know me, I know them. and they know when something isnot right. If you lose a debit or credit card, good luck trying to deal with those companies. Good luck on your adventure Daniel. I hope everything turns out all right. Lord knows it's hard enough to make any money without some BOOGER PICKER trying to steal it. maybe later on, he will get a job with the big oil companies, then he can take all the money he wants from us without fear of being caught, or better yet, run for congress.

My opinion only, George.

Went in to sign the court paper. They are charging him criminally, so it'll be soon that they will try to find & arrest him. Has to be signed now by the County Attorney, then on to the Judge, then warrant issued by the Judge. Time will tell.

Hard to get away from that sowing/reaping thing. In a way, I don't feel sorry for him, but in another way, I do. Somehow he got the idea that stealing from someone else is OK. That's sad! Keep us posted.

(P.S.: I hope the weather didn't get too wild at your place, Dan. We had quite a few tornadoes in the area last night, but they were further north of us. In-law's town in NE OK had one roll thru. They're OK, though.)

I've been busy running up and down the highway and just now saw this post. It is a good thing that you have a small town bank that keeps an eye on its customer's accounts. Hopefully you will be able to resolve everything with few problems. Best of luck Daniel.

Sorry that I didn't reply Daniel but I posted a few times and got things ready to go to the plow day. I went up this morning. Got to do some plowing and meet some wonderful people. Will post more about that later.
