Hi All

First post - be gentle please :-)

I've got a well used Craftsman 10XL with a snow blower on the front.

The bearings seized on the shaft and ovalled out the sides of the gear case that transfer power from the belt to the chain.

Where's my best bet to get a new one?

The manual for the snow thrower is here I think - different model number than on the side of mine, but sure looks the same ->

Part number for the gear case is 634A246  (78 in that parts breakdown)

I'd so much rather fix this than shell out for a walk behind snowblower...

(Sidebar, it was bought with the rototiller and lawnmower as well, I've got the original bill of sale but those are gone)

Hi furicle, welcome to the group, Sears sold a ton of those blowers you should be able to find a complete blower for less than $200.00, I have a could that I don't have than much money into them. I'd watch CL and e bay. good luck.
