Not sure but it could mean 15hp and gear drive instead of hydro?

That would be my guess too. Never seen one like that before. Reminds me of the Honda LTs with the sloping hood.

Looks to me like it has MTD wrote all over it.

I think MTD bought out the Troybilt line and still makes them or makes them for Troybilt.

I have a 2011 Troybilt LT 17 Hp  with a blown motor I would love to get running, maybe 50 hours on it at the most.

This one was built by GardenWay. I think Tahoe is right that MTD now owns the TroyBilt name.

I wouldn't give a troy bilt to a monkey on a rock!

We bought a new troy bilt tiller probably 15 years ago and it was junk. We now have a old troy bilt tiller and it works perfect!

It appears to be semi garden tractor, but really can't find any info on it at all.

google is your friend, will even correct a person's spelling for them::

...The company said it plans to sell its Troy-Bilt and Bolens equipment lines and other assets to MTD Consumer Group Inc. of Cleveland...
... MTD's brands include Cub Cadet, Yard Man, White Outdoor and MTD Pro...
...Garden Way had purchased Port Washington-based Bolens Corp., a manufacturer of snow throwers and garden tractors, in 1987...

then there is the BIG BOOK:
MTD Products

soooo, to answer your question about the tractor, just go to the mtd site,
input your information - model, serial, from your plate on the unit at:

ok???

Thanks Danial, I found those links, or most of them, but they don't define the unit, at least I missed it if they did. I don't own one, but there is one for sale close by and I just wondered what it is, garden tractor, lawn tractor, tweener? Thanks for your help, I'll check the MTD site.
