Do you think I can get a cultivator and plow from a 57 RAM to work on my 59? Would modifying a bracket/hitch be worth it or too much effort.

Also, would a 57 blade and bracket work on my 59?

The blade with the gray tiller is supposedly from a 59 and the other a 57. They look the same to me making me think the 57 would work on the 59. These pics aren't mine, from members on the forum.

I believe that there is a Bolens Attachment Chart in our Manuals Section. It may help with your question.

The Attachment Interchange for the Ride-A-Matics can be found here:

http://gardentractor...erchangeabiity/

The 1956-57 (models 20HD & 21HD) & 1958 ( model 220) tractors had a different style rear hitch than later model tractors, so some of the rear attachments would require modification or a later #23839 drawbar.

Pics of the #23839 drawbar can be found in the manuals for the #23122 cultivator, or #23256 disc harrow.  http://gardentractor...tor-attachment/

http://gardentractor...57-disc-harrow/

There were two model snow plows for the R-A-M's (HD531 and 21531).  Either snow plow should be able to mount to your 1959 tractor by using later mounting brackets.

If you have not yet found them, there is a whole section of the manuals forum for Ride-A-Matic tractors and attachments at:

So just to make sure the blade and mount with the patina, sitting outside would work on a 59 RAM? Want to be exactly sure before I buy.
