Ive got a chance to buy a 1A , but my 124 doesn't have a creeper. Has anyone used a tiller without a creeper? If its not feasible with it almost doesn't seem worth the hastle and cost and makes me think about just using my AC big ten and tiller instead.

If your breaking new ground you will need a SLOW low gear.  If your tilling plowed ground it might work but have to make a couple trips over it to get it ground up good.

I use creeper gear in my MF 12. I only use second gear in loose or already tilled ground. Second, on my tractor, is to fast, because you have to have the revs up to till. Noel.

Everything I till i plow first, what I have read is that the speed on my AC is 2.0 mph in first, my 124 is 2.3mph according to Tractor data not using the creeper would mean more riding the clutch but I did that anyway with the AC.II definitely would to get a creeper when I find one.

A creeper or a hystat drive tractor is in order to run a tiller.  I have a #1 tiller and used it on my 107 when I reseeded my yard.  Worked great on there.
