Need a little help here. I will have a three point Category 0 hitch on my New Holland soon (this month) and the first thing I need to build is a Cat 0 universal hitch (sleeve hitch and trailer ball) and I have no implements to base this off of. I do know it will need 20" spacing but not sure where the 20" starts. I will be using a piece of 2"x2"x3/8" thick angle iron and welding 5/8" bar stock on the internal corner of the angle to keep this cheap and sturdy. So based on this I may need dimensions to help me, including how high above the pins is the top link attachment point... Any help appreciated.

Casey, I assume you are talking about what's commonly called an A frame or basically a drawbar with upper arms that connect to the third point?  If so, I can get you all the dimensions you need tomorrow.

Sounds like exactly what I am talking about (as if I know what I am talking about lol). I appreciate it, Jeff. Dimension wise I probably don't need many (famous last words lol).

Ya Jeff, looks exactly like what I need, minus that weird upside down rake looking thing. What does that actually do, I can't say I have ever seen that arrangement?

That is actually a home made potato plow that my brother whipped up.  Works pretty good.

I actually have one of these attachments that is not an A frame but it's the same general idea.  If I still have it, I'll send you a pic and see if it will work for you.  Might save you some work.

It looks like it would dig potatoes nicely, sifting them from the dirt. Any chance your brother designed that while raking leaves? Lol

Casey, this has become your best choice as I have checked this morning and found that I no longer have what you need.  I thought for sure I did.  Sorry Bud, I would have given it to you.  I think Kenny has everything you need to be successful in this venture.  Should you need any other measurement, just let me know and I'll do what I can.  Good luck.

Will you be at the Marburger plow day later this month?

I would but the one you see was made by someone far more handy than myself.

Casey,,,   I built one just like Kenny has  pointed out ..  You can get the pins at most tractor supply houses. I did have to score the bends half way throu with a hack saw to make the bends crisp and strait ,,then weld the cuts back up.. I tried without making the cuts and when I heated them to bend,, they bent crooked...   Hope this helps...

   PS,,, Ballard also makes them.

Is that the one near Evans City, Pa on Sept 26?
If so I am thinking about it right now. As for reality, we will see. I would like to take the New Holland, but if I don't get the three point on and the ag tires it won't be there. However, the Farmall Cub is always ready to roll, if I actually decide to go.
