I got an IH Cub 127 this morning.

It's Barn fresh, including all the dirt and grime.
It's has a 12hp K301a in it with a blown head gasket.
The gas tank is pretty clean inside with minimal brown crustys in the bottom from old gas.It should clean out fairly easy. The gas was shut off and the Carb was dry when I pulled the bowl off,and it cleaned up like new with a few shots of carb cleaner. The oil looks like new in it and it's just below the full mark on the dip-stick.I'll replace it anyway before I attempt to start it.

The Deck is in Amazing shape,it's just starting to shed it's paint in a couple spots.
Here's the Pics.Sorry but all I have is an old 1 mega pixel camera but it still works I guess.

And I got these Lawnboys from the dump the other day.
I got 4 of them running.3 needed carb cleaning and the self propelled needed a new coil.
Which cost me a whopping $28 and it runs like a champ. They all start on the 1st pull.

Other then the hood being bent a little and missing the grill the Cub 127 looks like a nice solid piece.

I can't believe what people haul to the scrap yard when all it takes is a little maintenance to get something running.

It figures that the Lawnboy I want to keep is missing the Recoil,Carb and the crank seals are blown.
Oh coarse it's the one with the IH top and yellow chute cover lol

The older brick-top seems to run better than any of the rest. It's smooth and quiet.

I had a chance to go over the cub a bit more.It does indeed have a blown head gasket.Looks like it was ran with it blown for a while to.
I cranked it over and it sounded like it didn't have a spark plug in.I said to myself WOW now THAT is a blown head gasket.
I'm just hoping the head isn't warped to bad.My uncle has an old bridge-port mill and he knows how to use it so truing it up shouldn't be a problem.

It's got spark now and it's pulling a little fuel in but not enough to light.

The front PTO is stuck so I sprayed it with good old PB blaster a few times.By the time I get the head gasket and check the head out I should have the PTO unfrozen.

I have no idea what I'm going to do with the 4 spare lawnboy engines that are all missing the recoils and 2 Mag decks.
I might have to find a few more to fix up so I can use up most of the parts.

Wow this is getting out of hand way to fast lol
