I was in front of the shop this morning mounting tires for my mow tractor and this fella came across the driveway. We decided it would be best if he stayed around and kept the critters away from my tractors and old trucks. He's going to stay here rent free for this service. I have CRP ground on all 4 sides of my place so I need all the help I can get. Not a very good pic of me but my friend show'd his good side. The MRS. already has a bad attitude about my new friend! Whaddayathink?

He's a cute little fella! When I catch one, I take em to the barns. My MRS doesn't care for em! LOL

I had a terrible time convincing the MRS. to take our picture until I suggested she hold my friend and I take the pic.

Glad that's you holding the 'new' friend. I have a real challenge with anything that slithers.

Natural pest control is self regulating... Once you get a couple of snakes, they will multiply, but only as much as their food supply will support. Ask the Mrs which she likes more, plague carrying varmints or a few snakes outside? LOL

I don't mind them as long as they don't have cat eyes or rattles... Or are bigger than I am.

This one was right at five feet. His big brother has been around here for a few years and last time I picked him up he was just shy of seven feet.

up at my grandparents farm... there's no snakes around form what I've seen and it's all CRP... mice, gophers, chipmonks, etc galore... we shot 40+ gophers, mice, and chipmonks withing 2oo feet of the house in a week... and there was still more!

Our .22 has been busy, needs a cleaning once a day during the summer.

Wish we had a few friends like yours hanging around, a lot cheaper than ammo and traps.
