Hi all,

I picked up this Speedex Model B at a local auction and it's missing some parts. I need the part the connects the engine with the transmission. Not sure what's it's called.
I am told its a 1942?
Does anyone have the parts I'm missing?

Well, don't know the early models, but the clutch is gone,  not sure what casings and such are needed. Go to www.speedextractorinformation.org and they have manuals to download and maybe some pix if you look around. Note that is .org, not .com.  Few other Speedex sites if you search, not much action on them. Mike Hamper has a few of those, not sure on parts tho. He might be able to direct you to others. mhamper1@roadrunner.com might get him.

Yeah, you are missing the drive train such as it is.  Two pulleys and two casts pieces that cover them.  When I bought my Speedex, it was missing one of these.  The PO took a good one and actually had one cast for it so I was lucky.  I'm afraid finding these parts will not be easy.  Here are a couple of pics of my 42 so you can get an idea of what you're looking for.  The before pic will give you an idea of what's going on under there.  You will notice that "1942 Speedex" is cast into the piece in the rear.
