Once again salvaging part of the old Murray to use on Craftsman II GT

Can't find the right seat on net so going to attempt configuring the Murray seat to work on the GT.

Mounting doesn't appear to be a challenge, proper operation of safety switch is the issue.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Murray model 7-36508 11/36 seat, Craftsman model 917.255919

I have had success with new seat for my Craftsman model 917.255919. As long as the bottom metal flip tray is in good shape, you may need to drill different seat bolt holes in it.

I am not sure of what you mean.  The bottom hardware, brackets etc. of Craftsman seat is in excellent shape, Murray so-so.  What seat did you use to replace?

I got mine at Tractor Supply and Atwoods, These are the two types that fit the Craftsman.

Terrific, we have a TS here.

Rube Goldberged the Murray seat to work and will hit TS soon.

Good job. Thanks
