Would love to have it to go with the rest of my MW tractors, but he's way over priced.

That is a rare tractor badged that way. You just don't hardly ever see a twin 20. In very nice condition to by the looks of it. There were 3 tire and wheel packages offered for the Power Max tractors,Turf,Flotation, and AG. The AG package came with tall narrow 12 inch front and taller, narrower 16 inch rears,as opposed to the wider 10 inch fronts and wider 15 inch rears that the other two packages came with. The AG wheel and tire package is my favorite and by far the rarest.

MY 4041 is an industrial model, built for the Marine Corps, it came with 15" tires which look like ATV tread, I assume that's the flotation package as it was factory equipped with the high lift front loader.

While I like the rarity of the Wards branding, it doesn't make twice as valuable as one of the other brands they came in.

Hi,

So what is the consensus thoughts of value for this?

Chuck

He's way high.  Rare, absolutely.  Worth more than a Pmax or Allis...yes.  Worth twice as much, doubtful.  I've been watching for quite some time and this is the first one I've seen for sale in probably 2-3 years.  It's really the only Powermax machine I would consider buying.  To me it has both the Homelite blue appeal (gorgeous IMO), and the Simplicity built, Wards brand scarcity.

The thing that bugs me other than price, is that the hood has no wear, and the blue does...repainting hurts the value of something like this, unless we're talking full blown restoration.  As a utility tractor, it's a $2000 machine, and that's assuming the rear PTO works.  This one will be valued as a collector item, and so a collector will be picky.  I would want to enjoy it in all it's original skin.  The white on these tractors is the first to look crummy, so finding original white is tough.

I think for more than $2200-2400, a guy wanting a Twin Twenty is better off buying a Pmax and making a clone.

Mine is an industrial and therefore yellow, but I like the colors on the civilian version of the power max as well as the blue.
