So it's basically the same setup as the 900 with tilting seat but a different seat style.

Too bad they aren't identical as the 900, I have a beatup 900 with a good seat/fender.

Visually The 1050 seat/fender looks quite similar to the original 1000 setup, the fiberglass fender is quite fragile and cracks easily, that is probably the reason why most people "upgraded" their setup through the years.

I don't have that seat, and niether does my uncle. I do know a guy with a tractor repair shop/ scrap yard in the 1000 islands. He has a 1000 in the weeds there, I wonder if it has one on it. Problem is he wont sell anything!!! My wife's grandpa is Best friends with the guy. I asked him if he'd sell any bolens stuff, He said "nope nothings for sale," "If you weren't here with Bob(my wife's grandpa)I'd be after you with my shotgun right now." So I kinda stopped asking him about it! LOL! This friday I have to go back up to the 1000 islands because my wife's grandparents sold thier house up there and are moving home, I'll be loading a huge enclosed trailer with there stuff, So Maybe we can stop back by the place and see if he's willing to deal yet.

Not too many here either, all of mine come from across the border.
The trick is to bribe your miss with a shopping road trip.

They actually seem pretty common over here, now that I am looking for them. They are mostly way over priced for the condition they are in though. $400 to $500 with no engine seems to be about the going rate. Attachments for them seem scarce.

Enclosed trailer ?  "Going" by?  Midnight requisition?  Naw!  That wouldn't be right now would it.

Well as luck would have it look at what I managed to find, It's an original fiberglass pan but the owner can't yet confirm if it's the original seat. What do you guys think?

Waiting for a rear picture of the seat, we'll see what he has.

The kicker is he wants 300$ for it and won't budge...

Normally around here too!
This guy has lots of nice NOS tubeframe stuff that he's holding onto even though he's moved onto large frames. He even got a NOS hydro kit which he won't sell.

He'd probably never notice, But I'm worried about the " I'd be after you with a shotgun" part thats all!

I heard the American dollar is back up in canada, So $20 of our money probably does equal $300 there. :D  :D  :D

It just so happens I just came across a Bolens 1000.  Its in good condition, runs good and has hydraulic lift.  What is the going price for this model?
