2 Weeks ago I bought a roller with a small B&S engine with gear reduction. Missing carb and magneto. Today this came up on CL:

Briggs and Stratton Engines - $40 (Franklin)

I  have two Briggs and Stratton engines, one a recoil start, 3 H.P. and one a model 6S, type 701032, manual rope pull start. Both turn over with good compression but I have never run either one. I want to sell both, as a pair for $40.00. Please reply to this post and thanks for your interest.

I talked to him and plan to go over there tomorrow to get them. Hopefully the engine becomes a doner. Good Luck, Rick

I saw those earlier too. If they weren't siphon feed carbs I would have been all over them.

I have a briggs and Stratton with a gear reduction on the bench. It came off of a Weber Weeder. I believe it is a 5 hp  and also think it needs a new coil/ magneto for it to run.

I'm figuring the carb and magneto are what I need. I have 4 or 5 small old B&S engines that don't run. It is time to get the one for the roller going. Good Luck, rick
