We picked 10 gal of tomatoes yesterday to make sauce.  They've done really well this year.tomato 002 (Small).JPG

We picked about that many a while back and couldn't use them so the critters ended up with them  they were small anyway.  Wednesday we picked two more pails full.  Gave some away and planing to make a bunch of stewed tomatoes from the rest.  Have a lot of green ones so will be doing some green fried tomatoes too.  Have had the BLT's a couple times already.

I sampled some of a friends pickled green tomatoes from last fall a few weeks ago. They were about the size of a half dollar and quartered up. Not too bad

I have picked 6 bushel of tomatoes so far and have at least 4 more to go.... And let 3 more in the field go .... Just couldn'tpick rthem fast enough! Anyone ever pick a bushel of grape tomatoes? I did... And need to do it again.. DOH!! Selling all ''matos at 50¢ lb. And still can't get rid of em fast enough. I have canned over 50 quarts so far, with another 30 plus to go. I hope the stuff will sell at the stand, I know my pickled products sell well, as does my wine ;-)
I am not going to grow that many tomatoes again... Unless i can find a larger market...
