Bought the tractor and when I got it home, no seat! Item is discontinued, not available. Anyone know where I might get one?
Thanks

Tried 3 online suppliers, all the same...not available, discontinued according to MTD. Guess I can get a generic from TSC and make it work. Any idea what size seat a tractor this size takes?
Thanks

There are many after market  Michigan style seats on ebay for MTD's, Does your tractor still have the spring assembly? If that's missing your in trouble, the long frames were quite different than other MTD's. If you have the springs, just measure the bolt pattern and find one that fits. good luck.

Everything blew off but the 2 2" brackets bolted to the pan. I need to find a seat assembly from parts tractor. MTD 757-0308 or 957-0333 or anything I can make work.
Thanks

One thing in your favor is that the long frame was built from the late 70's into the 90's, But it doesn't seem like alot are getting parted out yet to get these type of parts. I bought a fairly complete 1855 a few years ago just to get the pto cable, that has been discontinued for a 1655 WHITE. My problem ( if you can call it a problem ) is I've been getting tractors that are too complete , hate to part out when they are restorable.

I found a universal seat with the complete assembly. It's coming Friday so hopefully I can make it work this weekend.
Thanks for the responses.

Well, that didn't work. It was too tall and too close to the steering wheel. Ended up using a seat for a jon boat. Cut the pedestal down to 4" and it works. I will try to get some pics up.

Awesome, you have a tweener, Allied bought White and operated as WFE until they sold to AGCO, The outdoor power division got sold to MTD, and the first couple of years they kept the YARD BOSS name and the red stripe. Check your year, it is probably an 85 or 86.

What size are your front tires?, From the pictures it seems to be lower in the front. They used 18 8.50's  on the front to level the tractor up.

GREAT LOOKING TRACTOR

The front tires are 18-6.50-8. How can I determine the year model? The receipts I have show it purchased in 1987. The serial number is 41-027-5052.
Thanks
