010.JPG Hello, Glad to find this forum. Like many other newbies, I'm wondering if anyone can recognise a walk behind tractor we used to own when I was a kid but have no idea what brand it was. Poor photos but all I've got. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to GTT. Those three spoke wheels should narrow it down. Check in our "Galleries Section" for pics of similar walk behinds. I think that one of our other members is in Thunder Bay. Good Luck, Rick

Thanks so much for the speedy reply and the welcome I've received here. Looks pretty much identical to the Planet Jr. especially the last photo from Gtractor. Only difference I see is the large white lettering on the side but I don't remember that clearly. I do remember grabbing that muffler when I was six and the burn it left. We had it from the time I was 4 till my dad died when I was 19 and then it disappeared along with a few other things from our yard the day of the funeral. Guess thieves prey on the obituaries. Anyway I'm so thankful for the info, now I can at least put a name to a great memory.

 Welcome to GTT!

There is a Planet Jr. Catalog from the 1950's posted at: http://gardentractor...-catalog-1950s/

If you scroll through that catalog I think you will find info about the tractor.

planet_jr_restored.jpg Found a photo {not mine but a great restoration job} of the same identical tractor we used to own.
