HI!

Okay, I came for the manuals, but I'm staying for the forum! I had no idea thee was this whole subculture surrounding garden tractors - I'm about to get an LGT-165, and have wanted one for a long time. Based on how you guys like yours, it appears I've made a good choice!

I've always wanted one.

Doubtless I'll have questions. :)

Had mine running today, just to keep things moving until........., I hate to say it, the snow comes back. I now only use it for snow blowing, but at one time, I cut grass with it, tilled the gardens, levelled the driveway and many other tasks. I now have gained other tractors to do the varies jobs. Nice to hear your going to get an LGT 165 and for joining. Pictures when you can. We like pictures. Noel.

Those Fords are solid, versatile tractors that are getting pretty scarce around here. Congratulations on the tractor and welcome to GTTalk!

Closed-side.

The guy only used it for snow blowing, it looks like. 4 years ago "something happened to the snowblower" and it was parked. Then the guy I'm getting it from bought it for scrap. It turns over.

I'm betting he only used it for snowblowing, and the snowblower lost a bearing. So he parked it, and got a snowblower. And because he never took the Ford-branded Cozy Cab or snowblower off, he mowed with another mower. This seems to be confirmed by the fact the mowing deck and 48" blade in the shed.

It looks like they drove it to where it was parked. The wheel weights are still on it!

I'll upload pics when I can. Meanwhile, I'm biding my time downloading manuals.

If I get 'er running good enough, there's a galvanizing place down the way that will hot-dip galvanize up to 800 lbs of metal for $257... including the cleaning/blasting! I'll blow 'er apart, run it all down there, and when it comes back, paint 'er up and reassemble with stainless screws. Maybe if I'm feeling rich, I'll have the panels, etc powdercoated a piece at a time.

Then it'll never die again.

I'll add pics when I get it this weekend.

Does anybody know the file download limits/time limits? I have like 2o tabs open in this browser, with each having a manual I'm wanting to download in it, but can't figure out how long before it'll let me get another file, or how long I need to wait between files.

This is painful.

I believe it's the size of the file, more than number of files.
You can usually say 3 average manuals worth of info.
It's part of the software that keeps bad people from downloading the manuals, making a cd rom and selling it on fleabay.

I've been trying since Thursday morning.

This is the message I get:

Sorry, you don't have permission for that!
