Have two drive motors from Case axles. Thinking diff between 200 and 400 series in Speed? Both bolt up? Can use plate numbers to I.D.?

There is a speed difference. The motors are also different BUT they interchange.

The motors from same era machines will be identical, it is the internal displacement that is different. If they are not the same, they are from different series. For instance, a 222 drive motor next to a 4120 drive motor.

I thought the motors were different because the Torq's were 2xx series with 4xx motors....

Yeah, got my answer at show. Seems speed difference. The 200 series is 1" or so shorter also. 200 in 400 tractor goes too fast and 400 in 200 goes too slow I think it was said. They didn't sell, thought they would for the price.
