Thanks guys, it's so nice to have a work again!

This weekend (in preparation for a local fair entry) I painted my weight package. It's inly been in primer for about five years! 😄

I was planning to paint it flint gray, but I found the MF red at Tractor supply in spray cans! So I decided to paint it red and see how I like it.
Please feel free to input an honest answer if you think it should be repainted red. I am torn whether it would be best red or gray.

It doesn't look bad but it's a lot of red. Honestly I think it would look better in the Grey. Red is better than primer though.

I was kind of leaning that way too, although I have debated putting one of the SMV decals on the back, but cut down to fit the weight box size and not look huge. That might tone down a lot of the red. I do need to get down to the Massey dealer for some gray paint soon.

I think the Flint gray would be better with the SMV sign, but sometimes you just got to use what you got.

The more I keep looking at it, I am with you guys.... It's going to get a repaint in flint gray.

My other thought is to build a sleeve hitch off the weight box using a 12v actuator directly at the back of the box. I need to debat that one a bit too. I would be nice to mount a small plow blade on the rear... Decisions, decisions...

Yes, it was flint gray back there. The drawbar is the left over 1/4" stock that was part of a snowplow frame I modified. I welded it to the back and front of the box before I filled it with lead. The back side if the bracket goes up the back about 3".

I do want to build a sleeve hitch with a 12v lift actuator mounted to the top of the box. My idea is to use the cover plate for a hydro tractor to install a lift handle. The lower dash cover plate in the hydro where the speed indicator is placed looks like it would be perfect for this.

I also want to install a 12v liner actuator in place of the original lift. To control that, I want to duplicate the original "power lift" the Masseys had. It will be easy to build a control handle that pushes two momentary starter buttons. I will also add limit switched to kill the activator and avoid damage.
