I am trying to help a friend with this old ATM 600 with a no spark issue. The ignition system is a capacitive discharge ignition (CDI) the engine is a Kawasaki KF82D-X. The engine has an exciter coil and a pulser coil mounted under the flywheel. The exciter pack(CDI) is located under blower shroud cover. Parts are hard to come by and expensive. Has anyone changed these ignition systems over to a coil using a magnetic pickup. This engine was also used in club car golf carts. Any help please thanks
