I have an opportunity to purchase a collection of old car tune-up parts including condensers and points.

Will automotive condensers work on battery-ignition small engines - especially the K-series Kohlers?

Also, less likely, but will any automotive points cross-reference?

Points, nope.
Condensers, yep, as long as it will fit properly :)

In that application, yes, but only cause that uses a distributor.

You might find something close to the Kohler points I suppose, but modifications are most likely eminent, and cause I have never tried using different points I can only speculate reliability may take a nose dive. Myself, I'd keep what you want, FeeBay the rest, and apply the profits to the correct Kohler points. Cheers:)

The condensors work fine, but the need a long enough wire to get the condensor into the mounting clamp for grounding.

straight 6 Chevy (and AMC, same point set)  points are exact replacements on a 2 cycle Harley Davidson golf cart engine.
