JD. never made a Green patio, Red, Blue, Yeyyow, Orange, but it is supposed to be a 1970. If it is a Patio, the I.D. number will so it to be a Patio, 1969is the only year that somone could take a Green 140 and make it a Patio, JD. used the same I.D. number on both models. I would not buy a 69 without documentation proving it to be a true Patio.

I would make sure it was a Patio before went to look at it..

Wondered about the green, but I'm not an expert on Deere patio models, I'm the one that called it a patio tractor, the seller kinda infers it but does not state it. Not something I would want, too much $$ for my budget. Thanks for the good info though Brian!!

Another thing to look at is the steel back of the seat. The colored patio seats had a textured steel back on them. The regular non patio yellow John Deere seats had a smooth steel back on them. Hard to tell if without looking if this one had been a yellow patio seat and they replaced the hood with a regular green John Deere hood or if the seat is a non patio one. Either way as Brian has said they didn't make a green patio tractor. The seller doesn't state it is a patio but does call it rare. John Deere didn't even call it the patio series. It's just a name that kind of stuck among collectors to describe them.

Deere referred to these tractors as their "Custom Color Series"
