WELL, it is that time of the year again...........FALL PLOW DAY TIME.  I had a chance to talk to the farmer that leases my land and he told me that they should be finished harvesting Soybeans in the next 2-3 weeks so we are planning the 2nd Annual Rodan Farms Plow day.  Date is going to be October 21-22.  Address is 195 County Road 502, Verbena, AL.  There are motels within 10 miles of the property and plenty of places to eat.   Hope to see some of y'all this year.

Robert

Soybeans were harvested last Saturday and the weather forecast is looking great.  30% chance of rain Friday but NOTHING Saturday or Sunday.

Well, I am glad to report that we had a better turn out this year and didnt get rained on, BUT the ground was DRY!  Even plowing 6-7 inches deep there was very little moisture to be found. It was hard to get plows to actually plow without a bunch of weight on them but we all had fun. My next to the youngest brother came and brought one of his sons and I think both of them will be back again next year.  They spent the night Saturday night and my nephew Brandon plowed some Sunday...lol  All in all, we plowed about 8-10 acres with about a dozen tractors.  Hopefully next year we can reach a happy medium between the first year and this years weather and actually have some GOOD plowing..lol  Either way I will take it.  We had a good time, I got to see some old friends and spend a lot of time with two of my brothers and one nephew.  I would post pictures and videos but I only took TWO pictures all weekend....lol Dana posted a lot of pictures on our Facebook Farm page along with some videos.  IF you are on Facebook, you can find them here.......https://www.facebook...780748395330865  and here....https://www.facebook.com/Rodan-Farms-780748395330865/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1227178147354552
