Switched the two tractors I'm working on from floor to lift and Vice-versa for other one. I even took the 1240 out for a little run and tried all the gears and such. Works good! That 1st gear is way low, and the High gear really scoots! Seems the throttle doesn't wanna stay where put, so have to look at that again. I lubed it up when cleaning it up, maybe should have left it as is, heh! I now have the tires off and gonna work on painting wheels w/out removing tires. I usually blast them after tire's off, but they don't look bad on the outside, and tires kinda cracked up. Thinking I will try knot brush in die grinder and sanding on these. I washed them and were real bad mud. Bleach White works pretty good, but STILL have some left on there, guess never be clean really.

Well, hood is painted and hinged on frame. NOW, the dash doesn't fit to it correct, bummer. Now I know why the mount holes were slotted for that dash tower. It's gonna be a pain to reach in and loosen and move tho, the belt guard is the biggest issue keeping it in place now. Might need new holes for that to match. Can you say "Scratched Paint"? Darn! This thing starts so easy and runs so nice, even at low speed/idle. It is a bit vibrating tho when revved up. We'll see how it does after driving around some and breaking it in.

Up on hoist and loosened all the tin connections and hood fell right into position with some sliding at bolt holes. Steering boot and bolted on. Went to put my snowblade on it and found it wasn't wide enough for those rear Big bolts/buttons it should slide over. Thought blades fit any model with that set-up, guess not. Won't fit the 1641 either, but WILL fit the 1622 Hydro, thinking anyway.  Hard to measure when packed in garage, but seems about right. SO, gonna try it on there. The 1240 is done now, cept some decals.
