Here lately I have been looking at Walk Behind mowers because I am planning to start a lawn care business next year. While looking for walk behinds I ran across the 30" Toro Timemaster and I'm liking what Im reading about it. Basically I am wanting something that I can mow backyards with a 36 gate. I want something I can bag leafs with and something that mulches really well. I've been looking at Walk Behinds and they take up alot of room on the trailer. I have a 6x10 trailer and I have to fit my Ferris Is700z on the trailer also.

Im basically writing this to see what yalls thoughts are. Anyone own one?

Well since no one had any thoughts on this mower I'll share mine. The Toro Timemaster is a very unique mower to say the least. A timed 30" deck looks good and doesn't weigh a ton as other 30" mowers do. I will have to say that this mower is overpriced for the quality that it produces. It does not compete with a 1k mowers. It took me half the mowing season to figure out how to cut with this mower.. Well that's easy Searsyellow pull the handle and push.. That's not easy as it sounds. Anything over 3" grass it would miss spots of grass. A patch here and there but no pattern. I slowed down down to barely moving still the same result. Well after 2 1/2 months I called Toro and they suggested I leave the rear wheels higher than the front wheels. I tried it and it worked. BTW Toro does not offer a return policy. Once you get a receipt it's yours forever!!

Would you mine posting some pictures of your mower ?  Do you think raising the deck on the rear of other mowers ( riders too ) will help with cutting 3" and over  grass they are having the same troubles as you ?

Idk about raising the rear of the deck would work for all mowers. I'll get some pictures this afternoon.

Yes, Al, it helps.  .....We would set the decks on riders we sold so that the blade would be approx. 1/2"-3/4" higher at the rear than at the front.   ....We would also make sure the blade was level from side-to-side.

On walk-behind mowers, the rear height was adjusted one to two "notches" higher than the front.

This results in better bagging and a cleaner cut.
