This is a great plow day with a bunch of great tractor enthusiasts. They have plowing for larger tractors and garden tractors. There is always a good showing of gt's and is great to see the bigger vintage tractors plowing also. It doesn't matter what color your tractor is.

Here's the info I copied from the WNYTCC website:

Western New York Two Cylinder Club Antique Tractor Plow Day, Saturday, May 14, 2011, Schlenker's Farms, 2149 Elton Road, Ionia, New York 14475, Two miles north of Routes 5 & 20. All makes of tractors and plows are welcome. Garden Tractor plowing too! For information Ed Wheeler, phone (585) 748-0505.

I believe the picture posted by Pa Plow Day of Gary VanAllan plowing with his JD 300 was taken at the 2010 wnytcc spring plow day.

Well guys, hate to say it but we won't be making it up. Our work has been picking up in the last couple weeks, mainly because now is the time new schools and school renovations are being sent out for bid for estimates and of course they are some of the worst and most time consuming jobs to estimate. We got really hammered this week and are behind and they have made it mandatory o.t. to work Saturday along with through the week next week. I was really looking forward to making it up. If I would have known beforehand I could have scheduled for today off which then would have given me the weekend free. I know better for next time though.

Plow a couple furrows for us and please post the pics up when you guys get done :D

The plow day was great. It did rain off and on but it didn't stop us from plowing. By afternoon the weather was actually nice with overcast skies and occasional sprinkles but it was warm and the plowing was excellent. The Schlenker Farm is a beautiful place with rolling hills and fantastic soil. We plowed in a few different fields around the farm. It was nice to have different landscape and terrain to plow. At first I had some problems with my mf12g starving for fuel when I got in a deep furrow(and these guys were plowing deep). At the end of my first pass I got rite up to where everyone was standing and watching and it quit,:mecry: my face must have been as red as my tractor. A little choke and it fired back up but continued to act up. Finally I got tired of it and went back to the truck and raised the float level. It ran great after that.:yelclap: Even though the weather forecast was lousy we still had 32 GT's plowing and by the end of the day we had plowed 12 acres. My Father and I were the last ones to get loaded and leave at about 5pm. The reports are that the Schlenker's were impressed with our conduct and how capable our machines were. There is a good chance we will be invited back next spring and I strongly recommend you make plans to attend if you can, I know I'll be there!

Looks like a great time! Sorry you had carb troubles.

Looks like they were deep, any deeper and you'd been plowing sideways :D

Wow, they are some pretty fields. Bummer about the carb but at least you got her fixed up quickly. I wish we could have made it up. Next time I am scheduling vacation the day before so I can't be made to work on a Saturday.

I can't believe how much the China diesels smoke. The one looks like it is 4.5 horsepower?

It does look like everyone was plowing pretty deep. Great pictures and thank you for posting them :D
