Looking at a David Bradley and I may buy it. I'm trying not to act real interested in it as I'm trying to get the price down some. I didn't take pictures also for the same reason. I've always messed around with Copar Panzer and Panzers so these are totally new to me. It has a green hood which most I have seen had a red hood. Does the green hood put it in a time frame for when it was made? It is all suppose to be correct including the factory tires with about 50 % of the thread left. It comes with the correct dirt plow and a cultivator. The last time it was started was in the spring of 2014.  Any thought would be helpful.

Thanks

I kinda did the same path. After redoing a few panzers I rebuilt a david bradley suburban. Now for some reason I am apparently a magnet or a sucker for free walk behinds I am in the process of rebuilding a david bradley walk behind. One thing I can say the clutch system is an interesting setup read and understand it first. Nice thing about the walk behind you can easily find parts. As for the green hood I haven't fully educated myself on all the models. Mines an earlier one 1947

like to see some pictures of this hood, we have found some attachment that were painted in green or some other color that's not normal. In the roughly 20yrs ive been doing DB's ive never seen a factory green hood.

I'm going back by it today and I'll get some numbers and pictures. Where it is at there is no cell service so it may be tonight before I can get them posted. Thanks

The hood has been painted before. Here are a few pictures I took today. I didn't take any of the plow or cultivator. Any thoughts of condition and value?

Tell him to discount at least 50% for the green hood.  :D

As far as value goes, check some of the little things.  The tractor is still a sum of its parts.  At least the engine has the right intake on it.  That is always worth something.  If the gas tank is good it is always worth something as well.  If the engine runs and doesn't kill mosquitoes, then you can add a little more to your offer.  It is missing the double pulley off the engine though.  The hood looks fairly straight as well beyond that ungodly green.

The tag on the engine is for a disc if I'm not mistaken, the engine looks to be for an early 5751 tractor

I'm going back by it today and. . .

Your losing your poker face.

As for the color, I believe you have the super rare copper hood. That's worth an extra 50 bucks.
