Bevel gear box rebuild help

You can make due rebuilding it without a press. The key slot in the input shaft is probably widened along with the key being worn. The key slot in the input shaft gear may also be widened. These three things contribute to the play you see in your video. Just finish disassembling the BGB to get a better look at things.

Easy fix, I agree its the key. I had one doing the same thing popped in a new 3/16 X 3/4 woodruff and all better.. You can see the shaft move and the gear staying stationary.
